Giving up something that we habitually take satisfaction of is not easy as we think it is. However, each year I come up with a nifty take on my personal sacrifice. Just a little something to give back to him after giving me an abundant life since the day of my birth.
This year I decided to do away with desserts. Admittedly, I have my ulterior motives in settling for that sacrifice and that is no less than to lose weight for the upcoming trips that I have. In the light of the past holiday, I seemingly sacrificed my blog as well. :(
In the same manner that I've to catch up with my series (Chuck & Gossip Girl), I've to update my blog on the day-to-day occurrences of my not-so-mediocre life.
I so can relate
Remember how I mentioned in my previous entry that Filipinos are known for laughing even during the trying times? Well there are certain instances when the sadness gets the best of them and they give in. Recently, the media swarmed over the family of actor and running politician Cesar Montano when his son committed suicide, purportedly due to a quarrel he earlier had with his girl friend. The story felt and sounded so surreal, when the story spread over to the media. Why the hell would you take your life just because you had a tussle with your beau? Is it enough a reason to take your precious life? What goes in their heads before hanging themselves or letting go of that trigger? What propels them or is it more apt to ask what dissuades them to settle for it?
I know for one that Filipinos are resilient. What drives them to such things must be of great personal matter to them. Just like the case of the teen who was bullied by her classmates and ended up putting an end to her life.

Splurge before the holiday
Happily, March 31 landed as a payday wednesday and before anything else I promised to grab the things which are important.
A necklace from Plains and Prints which I have seen weeks back with my childhood friend Sarah during one of those shopping dates that we have and Sugar Depilator from BodyShop which she recommended that I use lol
Holy Holy Homey
Nothing is more relaxing than spending the rest of the break at my boyfriend's house in Laguna. WHY?
Because whenever I'm there, I get to to unleash my inner princess and brattiness :) Go figure!
Whatever happiness I feel each time I stay at their place was overshadowed by the defiling summer virus that affected and caused me to have heavy eyes, slight fever, bad colds and throat scraping cough. The vacation was almost ruined so to speak. How do you enjoy a vacation when you're sick? Aside from being pushed to stay in the room and rest, I was so drained myself to ask him to go out and feel the summer breeze of the province.
That part sucked, but I prolly owe him one for forcing me to come to the annual swimming bonding with his friends cause I enjoyed it myself. Too bad there were no pictures, the camwhore me was stuck inside my head. Hey I was sick, that's more than enough reason not to take photos hehe
Posting some of the photos from our last year's outing since we hung out at the same location.
Another reason why I love staying at their place is the homey ambiance and the absence of pressure to go online and check my facebook due to easy access to the web. Though I decided to bring my laptop with the notion of finishing some task given by Paoper which then led to boyfriend getting addicted to plants vs. zombies haha
Several factors may contribute to this adoration I long have for their place, but ultimately it's his presence that makes the travel worthwhile.
