Today is our patron saints’ feast!! Well its an ordinary day but of course as Filipinos though we’re under crisis... filipinos alawys strive to celebrate even if it means borrowing money!!
Traditionally our church celebrates it with a “karakol” a street dance were in church organization members participate with a fancy outfits that are out of recycled bottles,, plastics,, and tin cans!! They are dancing while parading to the streets of our barangay!!
as for our family we never really celebrate it with super sumptuous meals.. but my mom makes sure that she cooks food that are not in line with our daily cuisine! This year.. my mom cooked steamed lapu lapu, embutido, pata theme, and leche flan for dessert!! Yum yum..
outside our compound children are already crowding,, while waiting for the teenagers to start the annual street games!! Like tha pukpok palayok,, sack race, bring me,, eating polvoron then whistling, stop dance and many more..
back then i was always excited when the 3rd week of june’s about to come.. but now! Since i already consider myself to be mature enough to participate with those kinds of stuffs.. i prioritize something else..=)
a while ago i went to my tita’s house which is just a wall-away from our house.. given that i wasnt able to go there like my routine before since ive been very busy lately!! Well i guess since i stepped into college i wasnt even able to say hi to her.. it really feels good to come by there.. cause i also missed the house!!
in our house.. well my dad and i are already ok!! Since he bought me 5 cherifer capsules last night because i cant go out due to the heavy down pour of the rain!!=)
