All thanks perhaps to Facebook's birthday reminder, most of them spared some time to write a little note on my wall. Or to tweet a birthday wish for me. Something I generally find heart-melting and kind.
Notwithstanding the unfamiliar set of people that I celebrated it with, and the location in which I chose to spend my special day on, my 2010 birthday celebration was distinct -- and momentous--- in all aspects.
Because I celebrated it with my boyfriend.
I know my birthday entry is supposed to be about me, but I wanted to add a twist, so it’s gonna be all about the love of my life.
The guy who strived so hard to convince me to stay when I've been on the brink of packing my bags to leave. The guy whose been spoiling me with all the things that I desire for the past weeks. No for the past years! The guy who’s been crazy in love with me, (and I'm very much crazy in love with) for the past three years, my Jordan.
You know the feeling of being swamped with so much love from someone in spite of your shortcomings yet still the person made a whole lot of effort to make your birthday a little extra. Extra special. Extra memorable. Extra happy. That I guess is the best picture I could give of what happened on my birthday.
Right now, there maybe a million reasons to be grateful about him but the littlest almost negligible things made masses of unfading memories. For once in public allow me to say my thank yous to my guy.
Thank you for pushing me to try and to appreciate Shawarma. You were right about it, it actually taste good.
Thank you for the flowers. Although you know that I'm not fond of it, know that I very much appreciated the gesture.
Thank you for making me feel exactly how I wanted to feel on my birthday, loved and special.
Actually, scrap that. Thank you for making me feel THAT WAY all the time. I'm just so lucky to have the sweetest and most loving boyfriend in the whole universe.
Thank you for making it simple, but unique and lasting.
You absolutely have no idea how much you made all the difference for this birthday. Actually, you don't realize how much you made all the difference in my life EVERY SINGLE DAY, period.
