Truth is, that wasn't in the least part of our plan after visiting his favorite church in a nearby town that day. Although, my parents and I tried once to savor this Max's chicken feast, we sadly ended up having a queue number 16 in Max's main branch. And that branch is I think their biggest one, who says Pinoys are impoverished these days? Filipinos utterly are food monsters!
When I think about it now, I can't actually recall why we resorted doing that race to 7 chicken challenge, which I confidently raised upon him. He, without second thoughts, took upon my dare not considering his earlier carbonara snack. HA!
As expected the guy lost to me by a very slim margin, one chicken to be exact. :D
And the funny part is that, the crew serving the repeat chicken, as if my accomplice, kept putting ridiculously large pieces in his plate and smaller chicken parts into mine. He still keeps on contesting that he was disadvantaged during that time, but my claim to the win is simple unquestionable. It's not like I bribed Kuya server or anything, which I think I would've done case he showed signs of extreme urge to win the fight. haha
Desperate times call for desperate measures remember? :p
Stuffed and nearly immovable we were able to finish the feast, just when we're about to pay the bill Kuya server started removing their chicken-all-you-can promo tarps.
Soon as I noticed that I asked Kuya, "Kuya tinatanggal niyo kasi bukas ulit?" To which Kuya responded, "Ay hindi ma'am, last day na po kasi ng promo today. Buti nga po umabot kayo e."
As if instantaneous, bie and I looked at one another and roared into laughter, followed by smacking loud high-fives. I mean, what kind of coincidence was that? An unplanned visit which turns out to be the last day of one insanely rad promo. Definitely a one-of-kind way to celebrate our 33rd month together. ❤❤❤
Stuffed literally, we look like siopao's in this photo.
