Love Your Body

If there's one beauty shop where I've long been shopping for that would no less than be BodyShop.

I'm no green living advocate but their products organic content together with its aromatic scent got me hooked. From lip balms to shower gels to toners and bath lily, bodyshop has been the prime source of my beauty finds for roughly ten years now.

But it was just recently when I got to sign up for their Love Your Body membership card, and last Saturday upon getting my card I was lucky enough to be invited to their LYB: skin care and makeup seminar.

Course I signed myself up cause its not everyday that you get offers to join a seminar held by your fave shop right? As disturbing as it may sound, my brief experience in organizing shoots during my magazine life I learned na-da, zero about applying make up on myself.

A good percentage of my obliviousness could partly be blamed to my lack of interest to sit in front of the vanity mirror, and spend a couple more minutes of my sparse and already packed day.

Simply put; Makeups for me are good for special events ALONE, that command us to look our best.

What I Learned

Though quite informal, the seminar is informative in its very sense and facile to comprehend.

I'd like to share to you guys a few of the tips that got glued in my head (meaning: I find these things either stupendous, fresh or personally handy) during the seminar.
  • For better curls while using an eyelash curler, do your best to create heat by brushing your thumb on the curler's rubber portion instead of heating it cause it might just damage your eyelash.
  • Facial creams, foams or whatever gooey stuffs you apply on your face should be massaged in a downward circular motion to prevent from clogging our pores.
  • Though it is obvious, there really are different kinds of eyes and each kind has a specific set of eye shadow colors that accentuates it best.
  • In my case, for people with round-shaped face. You can elongate the look of our face by applying cheek stain or blush on in an upward motion.
  • While the ones with relatively small face could apply it in a side-by-side motion.
  • Our face is the most abused part of our body.
There are  a lot of tips and such, but sadly my brain just can't keep all the details fastened that's why most of it slipped away. LOL

After the event I got my loot!yay! :)

Gotta love Bodyshop.❤❤❤❤❤
